Week 10 Review
Hello, League-Mates, and welcome to the Week 10 Review.
I want to start off by saying that I nearly defeated Johnny this week, and it if weren't for a combination of horrible refs and the Jets offense lacking the ability to get out of their own way, I would have walked away victorious. That just goes to show how narrow the margin of victory is from defeat.
I am truly amazed at how much the league has started to turn into an even race. I really believe that if I had defeated Johnny, the league would look a lot more open this week than it currently does. The great thing about this weekly review is that it allows for me to look back and see how things were looking on a particular week, and as well as a week-by-week basis.
As I looked back through the annals of the season, it was me who proclaimed that it was a two-horse race between Johnny and Patrick. I believe that I not only wrote myself off, but a large majority of you, my faithful readers, as well. Do I blame myself for overreacting? Hell no! We live in a sports world of hot takes and overreactions. If anything, I boosted ratings with my over-the-top reactions. So, you're all welcome! I have also paved the way for a new generation of ultra intelligent, well-spoken, well-versed writers that the fantasy football industry so desperately needs. Again, you're welcome.
Despite still lingering in 5th place, I am cautiously optimistic. I do believe that there were a few things that I could have done to prevent such misfortune. I know that I am not the only league-mate who doesn't blame himself or herself for a starting a particular player over another, or not putting enough FAAB in a bid. I will say that I did not see such a race coming down the stretch. For all the praise and glory that I have given Johnny, he's not exactly dominating the way he was in the beginning of the season. I can honestly say, that at this point right now, it's nearly anyone's to win.
I will close this out with a song from Van Halen's (or Van Hagar if you want to be petty) "Dreams"
"Yeah, you reach for the golden ring,
Reach for the sky,
Baby, just spread your wings,
And get higher and higher!
Straight up we'll climb"
